Dairy Substitutions
Here are my favorites to help you kick cheese to the curb.
Alternative milk: Almond, soy, rice, oat or hemp milk - go organic if you can
Buttery spread: Look for non-hydrogenated versions like Kite Hill, Miyoko's or Earth Balance. OR just use Olive Oil
Mozzarella: Violife melts and doesn’t taste like plastic. Miyoko's also has a pour-on version of mozzarella and is so tasty.
Cream cheese: Kite Hill is the best. It is softer than regular cream cheese and spreads so nicely.
Sour cream: Kite Hill, and I suggest the Tofutti brand for a more real-feel sour cream for dips.
Gouda: Violife
Brie-like soft cheese: Miyoko's hands down
Yogurt: Oatly, Forager are the cleanest and best IMO.
Slices: Field Roast Chao Slices
